He has always known what he wanted to do in life - create. Out of all of the creative fields he chose cooking. In his daily work he values innovative freedom and aims to satisfy each and every one of his Guests. He made his first culinary footprint at Restauracja 99 /Restaurant 99/. This was the time in his career that allowed him to really get to know his profession and many of wonderful people in it. After that he started working at Restauracja Sens /Sens Restaurant/ and eventually at The Westin Warsaw, where he obtained his first Sous Chef position. In 2005 he won the Martell - a culinary competition for young talents.
The next big step and a courageous professional decision was when he moved to Poznań and took a chance when he tried to build a brand new culinary destination - Cucina Restaurant. It turned out to be the beginning of a great culinary journey... As executive Chef of Cucina he won the title of Chef of Tomorrow according to the prestigious Gault&Millau Poland guide.
What does he value the most in life? Family and his co-workers, whom he likes to call his pupils. He loves to give others his best. On June 16th, 2016 he became the first in Poland to be called the official Chef Ambassador of "Drużyna Szpiku" /Bone marrow team/, a group of volunteers who encourage other people to save lives by donating bone marrow. As a chef, he has always learned from the greatest and he continuously admires them. His culinary inspirations are, among others, Tetsuya Wakuda, Alain Ducasse and Charlie Trotter.
To Ernest Jagodziński cooking is a combination of philosophy, psychology, and fun. He would prefer not to prepare menus and instead create his dishes based on the moment, availability of ingredients, and child's spontaneity of discovering new tastes and shapes.
